The development and advances in agricultural plant machinery over the past few years has been great and we are now seeing the majority of agricultural engines using the very latest in common rail injection technology.  The truth is that agricultural machinery is the largest benefactor when it comes to releasing hidden power by recalibration of the ECU maps or management system.  This is mainly due to the large capacity engines fitted to these plant machines that allows us to extract large amounts of extra torque & tractability which, when it comes to farming and transportation of heavy machinery this is exactly what is needed to provide the best drivability and maximum fuel efficiency.

The agricultural ECU recalibration or remap will involve careful manipulation of parameters such as Fuel pressure, Fuel injection duration, boost pressure request and injection timing plus the controlling limiters for each of these maps and of course the very important main torque limiter.

Also with the manufacturers adopting the same principals of car and light commercial manufacturers and using modular engines to reduce production costs, you can sometimes benefit from buying the cheaper lower output variant and unlocking its potential via an Pullin Power ECU upgrade.
